I currently hold appointments at Baylor University as the Frank S. Groner Memorial Chair of Finance, Professor of Finance & Insurance, and RMI Program Director. I have also previously held business school faculty appointments at four other universities: University of Pennsylvania, Louisiana State University, University of Texas at Austin, and Pennsylvania State University.

At Baylor, I teach courses in risk management and financial engineering. My research includes topics such as corporate risk management, insurance economics, and insurance finance. I currently serve as an associate editor for Geneva Risk and Insurance Review and Journal of Risk and Insurance, and as Past President for the American Risk and Insurance Association.
